Pebble pool bases are used to provide a coloured stone,
shale or pebble surface for a fountain or water feature. They consist of a water reservoir or sump that can be sunken into
the ground and a disk, which fits over the reservoir. Pebbles or shale are used to cover the disk. Once installed
only the pebble surface is visible, yet there is a reservoir of water beneath it. A pond pump can be used to
circulate water from the reservoir up to a fountain head or water feature located on the pebble surface. Water
falling back on to the surface drains down, back into the reservoir below where it can be re-circulated by
a pond pump. Heavy-duty versions are ideal for use as a monolith base.
Pebble Pool Kits
The easy way to create a pebble pool. The kit includes the pool and a submersible pond pump with a choice of two fountain heads. The pump is
mains, 240Vac, powered and has 10m of power cable. Once installed you can cover the surface with the stones of your choice to create an attractive pebble pool.
Lotus Square Pebble Pool Base (VFPPSQ)
A large, sturdy pebble pool base with a good water capacity at an economical price.

Finia Base 650 (FPP650)
The base section of this robust base from Finia is specially shaped in order to support loads of up to 150kg, making it suitable for supporting
small and medium sized monoliths. It has a capacity of 35 litres, a top diameter of 65cm (26") and a depth of 30cm (12"). They are made from 100% recycled plastic and
are designed for both free-standing use or in-ground use. To support unevenly distributed loads, or loads larger than 150kg the back of the base's fins can be
filled with soil or concrete.
Price £55.00 including mainland UK delivery.
Finia Base 1000 (FPP1000)
A large, durable, heavy-duty base from Finia. The base section is specially shaped in order to support heavy loads (up to 250kg).
It has a large base diameter of 98cm (39") and is recommended for water features where splashing would result in the loss of water from the
system if a smaller base were to be used. The base is 30cm (12") deep and has a capacity of 90 litres. They are made from 100% recycled plastic and
are designed for both free-standing use or in-ground use. To support unevenly distributed loads, or loads larger than 250kg the back of the base's fins can be
filled with soil or concrete.
Price £89.00 including mainland UK delivery.
Finia Base 1800 (FPP1800)
This is Finia’s largest base and is suitable for use with large monoliths. Again, the base section is specially shaped to support heavy loads.
Once correctly fitted into the ground it can support loads of up to 1000kg (1 Tonne). It has a large base diameter of 180cm (6ft), a depth of 30cm (12") and is
of a heavy-duty construction, made from 100% recycled plastic.
Price £379.00 including mainland UK delivery.
Finia Base 1375 (FPP1375)
The Finia 1375 pebble pool base consists of a flat, square tray, which fits on top of a circular sump. The sump section should be sunken into the ground
and provides a reservoir of water for circulating through a water feature. The flat tray should be covered with slate shale or coloured stones and your water feature or fountain
positioned on top of it. The feature's pond pump will normally reside in the Finia's sump and water will be fed up to the feature through a flexible hose. Water cascading from the
feature falls filters through the stones and is collected in the tray. The tray is designed to drain this water back to the sump from where it can be re-circulated. The Finia 1375 provides
the ideal solution where a square-shaped pebble pool is required.
The top section has a small removable flap that allows easy access to the sump for cleaning your pond pump. The base section of the Finia is specially
shaped in order to support loads of up to 23kg (up to 250kg if evenly distributed). Another advantage of the Finia is that its sump has a large capacity of 90 litres, which means that it does not require topping up to
replace water lost by splashing and evaporation as often as bases with smaller sumps.
Capacity: 90 litres
Dimensions: 1375mm (55") square, 370mm (15") deep.
Price £139.00 including mainland UK delivery.
Ground Preparation for Finia Bases
For heavy loads the ground should be prepared such that the ground supports the Finia base over its whole profile.
To support the maximum load the Finia should reside on a concrete support structure, i.e. a concrete plinth with raised sections to support the load-bearing
raised surfaces of the Finia base.
