These fountains are cast from a stone mix producing a heavy feature with a beautiful stone finish. The feature itself is available in two forms, i.e. the standard
version and the pond version. Each is supplied complete with a mains 240Vac pond pump to circulate water through the feature. The pond pumps have 10m of cable for connection to a
mains supply. Romantica features are easily assembled and include a full set of instructions.
Dimensions of the feature are as follows:
Height: 4 ft high (1.2m).
Width: 25½" (64cm).
Standard Version
The standard version is the easiest to install. It is fully self-contained and is suitable for standing on firm ground such as a patio or driveway. Water cascades from the top of the
feature down as far as the lowest bowl only. It does not cascade down as far as ground level, therefore a pond or pebble pool base is not required.
It is supplied with a 750 litre per hour submersible pond pump, which resides in the lowest tier of the feature.
Pond Version
This version is suitable for installation in a pond or on a pebble pool base. Water cascades from the top of the feature right down to ground level. A container of some type is therefore
required to catch and hold the water around the base of the feature. It is supplied with a more powerful pond pump than the standard version, i.e. a 2000 litre per hour submersible pump. The pond pump should
reside in the pond or pebble pool at the base of feature.
Pebble Pool Base
These are available for purchase as an option for use with the pond version of the Romantica. A Finia 1375 pebble pool base is offered because of its suitability for this type of fountain.
The Finia 1375 is a large, heavy-duty pebble pool base. It is 1.375m (55") square and can take evenly distributed loads of up to 250kg. A pebble pool base basically consists of a sump with a cover that can be set into a hole
in the ground. The cover is a shallow tray and fits over the sump to provide a level surface on to which you can stand your feature. This tray has drainage holes that allow water falling from the feature to drain back into the sump. The
surface of the tray is normally covered with slate shale or coloured stone, such that the pebble pool base itself is not visible. More information on the Finia 1375 is available by clicking the 'i' icon. |
