Roman Pool surrounds

These pool surrounds are manufactured from reconstituted stone to such a standard that it is almost impossible to tell the finished item from the real thing. Each is available in three colours and complete circular surrounds are available in three sizes. A semi-circular surround is also available and is suitable for positioning against a wall. In addition to this individual straight and corner stones are available enabling pools of more complex shapes to be constructed.

The pool surround will normally be made watertight by one of the following methods:

• Using one of the rigid glass fibre Pool Surround Liners. These are only available for the small standard circular pond (C470S) and for the small semi-circular pond (C470HS). These liners are available in shallow and deep versions. The shallow version extends only down to the depth of the bottom of the surround. The deep version in dug into the ground in order to give extra depth.

• Using flexible butyl pond liner bonded to the inside of the surround.

• Constructing the surround on a concrete floor and painting (tanking) the inside with pond sealer. A pond sealer is a liquid applied flexible waterproofing membrane.

Individual Sections

Straight sections can be added to the small and medium standard circular surrounds or to the semi-circular surround in order to add a straight sided section to the pond. They cannot be added to the medium size circular surround in this way because the pond is formed from an odd number of curbs.
